Original Animal Impressions

Kate Highsmith’s paintings of pets and other animals celebrate the life and soul of those she paints. Working from observation, story, and intuition, she uses bright color, loose brushwork, and often a nonsensical surrealism to capture the character and personality of her subjects. Kate’s art studio is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
